A Habitat Design Talk
What does the ultimate human habitat look like? A habitat that is optimally health promoting to human performance is what The Woodland Lantern is seeking to design and educate on. With quality design, I truly believe we can solve all of the world’s issues especially with our habitats. Let’s dive into this topic a bit more. Join in on this exciting journey.
Just like the gnomes, humans are dependent on our incredibly resilient yet fragile planet. We need sunlight to regulate our hormones, help align our circadian rhythms, and grow our food to name a few. Our bodies also greatly benefit from cold exposure and connecting the barefeet to the ground. Grounding has been studied in peer reviewed research specifically with inflammation reducation. Inflammation is the cause of much disease today. Grounding involves physically connecting to the planet without the rubber insulation standard on most shoes in order to nuetralize electrical interference that is causing the body much stress. We also benefit from fresh healthy air, clean rivers, and less and less hazardous chemical activity constantly getting absorbed by our body from the habitats we reside in.
So what are the ultimate health promoting habitats for humanity and how can civilizations enter into that space? Should we be truly wild in pristine nature or can we design in symbiosis with our natural landscape not against like we have been. Habitats designed where hazardous chemicals are not being used, which interferes with our bodies and habitats where our transportation system isn’t sending many everyday to hospitals due to bone breaks and brain trauma. We have a long way to go to achieve full scale optimal habitats. But these conversations are the spark in a tinder bundle to create/further the habitats our bodies physically long for. This is a very important topic: Optimal Human Habitats. More in later chats.
